The Traditional Settlement of Agios Ioannis, is located on the road from the capital of the island of Ithaca to Lefki, just before we reach it. This small picturesque village is built on the beach of Aspro Gialos. Ai Giannis, as its few inhabitants call it, is an ideal place for excursions to the adjacent crystal clear beaches, through the paths that exist in the area. Sightseeing of the village, in addition to the traditional houses, is also the "Olive of Odysseus", at the edge of the settlement, a very old olive tree with a perimeter of 18 meters, approximately, the church of Saint Dionysios in the center of the settlement and the beaches "Koutoupi", "Komninou Ammos", "Aspros Gialos", "Kedros" and "Vrysi", which are among the most famous in Ithaca.
